• 1½ teaspoons dried active yeast
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 300g plain flour
• ½ teaspoon salt
• ½ teaspoon baking powder
• 1 tablespoon sunflower oil
• 75g natural yoghurt

Start by pre-heating the oven to 180 degrees C., Gas mark 6 or 200 degrees C. Then stirring in the yeast with one tablespoon of warm water, add sugar and continue to mix. Set aside in a warm place for approx. 5 minutes or until the yeast is covered with froth.
Get a separate bowl and add flour, salt and baking powder and stir together. Add oil, yogurt and the yeast mixture and knead to a smooth dough by pressing damp knuckles into the dough over and over again.
Get a large mixing bowl and add the giant dough clump to it, covering it with cling film and letting it stand until the dough doubles in size and rises.
When this step is done, flour a surface and knead the dough yet again. Split the dough into 8 equal sized balls and roll each one into a long oval shape about 5mm thick with a rolling pin.
Grease a pan or tray and place the dough shapes onto it, then placing into the hot oven. Let them bake for 10 minutes until they are puffed up. They should be soft and crumbly when done.
Don’t leave them in for too long or else they will dry out and turn crispy.
Serve straight from the oven with an optional side of sauce for toddlers.

Ingredient 1 = 1 tsp dried active yeast
Ingredient 2 = 1 tsp sugar
Ingredient 3 = 200g/7oz plain flour
Ingredient 4 = Pinch black onion seeds (nigella seeds)
Ingredient 5 = ¼ tsp salt
Ingredient 6 = ½ tsp baking powder
Ingredient 7 = 1 tbsp vegetable oil
Ingredient 8 = 2 tbsp plain yoghurt
Ingredient 9 = 2 tbsp milk

To make this delicious recipe of naan bread, begin by preheating the oven to 275 degrees F., or 140 degrees C. Grab a small bowl next and stir together yeast and one tablespoon of warm water. Not too hot, not too cold. Add sugar and mix, leaving aside in a warm habitat for approximately 5 minutes or until the yeast appears covered with froth.
While waiting the 5 minutes, stir together flour, salt, onion seeds and baking powder. In a separate bowl, mix together yogurt and milk. Mix together the two mixtures into one bowl.
Knead the dough by clenching your hand into your fist, making sure your knuckles are damp with some water. Press your knuckled repeatedly into the dough and continue doing so until you have a soft, pliable dough which should take about 10 or so minutes.

Grab a mixing bowl and transfer the dough to it, covering it with cling film and leaving aside in a warm climate. Allow to rise for 10 to 15 minutes.
After that is up, divide the dough into four equal balls and place them on a floured surface or board.
Roll each into a long oval shape about 0.5cm/¼in thick. Avoid rolling them too thinly to avoid crisps.
Grease a baking tray and place the dough balls on it, putting the tray in the center of the oven for approx.10 to 15 minutes. When they have puffed up slightly and are soft and crumbly, not chewy, they are perfect. Not overcooked or undercooked. Take them out when they are slightly puffed up and serve amongst your friends.
